I am extremely shocked by this proposal, which I find extraordinarily intrusive. May I say I have three children and a range of grandchildren. They don't need to be spied on, and this is exactly what this proposal opens. My coutry, France, already has a record of using a terrorism-related agreement with Switzerland just to catch a squatter recently, and that was from a very reasonable government otherwise. Last presidential election, that reasonable government was faced, as very close number two, with a racist leader. To me, it is obvious such a leader if elected would immediately operate the law you propose to catch all sorts of opponents, sexual abuse being as much a pretext as terrorism was last time in Switzerland.
I strongly oppose this proposal, and will instruct my elected delegates to follow this position as strongly as I can, including, if need be, by showing what humiliating shame my Europe is becoming now.
